A 2nd look at Fuel Conversion Design from Fossil to Alternative Energy - any better idea?
A Philippine Steel Fabrication Plant with its Diesel-fired open-top Galvanizing Kettle (1.5M depth x 1M width x 7M length - with a maintaining temperature of about 400 degree Centigrade) uses up about 15,000 liters of Diesel monthly operating 24x7 weekly. The Plant is located about 10 kms away from Landfills; about 5 kms away from Livestock Farms and from 2 Feedmills; about 100 meters from an Industrial Sawmill. Given the location & the land area (3 hectares) of the Plantsite, we do not find the use of Sun & Wind advisable. Instead, we consider the Change-over from "dirty" Diesel to "clean" BioGas/BioMass as likely given that: (1st) Pangea Green Energy Phils (http://www.pangeagreen.biz) is soon to harvest BioGas from a Landfill 10 kms away; (2nd) Mapecon Phils (http://www.mapecon.com/readersdigest.htm) produces "Green Charcoal" (with high BTU) from enzime-treated BioMass. What do you think?;
I would encourage you to go ahead with the switch. Look for tax credits and make sure to promote your energy practices as you market your products. People like to buy from companies using green practices.
